Prof. Wojciech Mazurczyk

Prof. Wojciech Mazurczyk (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Hons.), and D.Sc. (habilitation) degrees in telecommunications from the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), Warsaw, Poland, in 2003, 2004, 2009, and 2014, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the Institute of Computer Science, WUT, and the Head of the Computer Systems Security Group. He also works as a Researcher with the Parallelism and VLSI Group, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Fern Universitaet, Germany. His research interests include bio-inspired cybersecurity and networking, information hiding, and network security. He is involved in the technical program committee of many international conferences and also serves as a Reviewer for major international magazines and journals. Since 2016, he has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Open Access Journal of Cyber Security and Mobility. Since 2018, he has been serving as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security and the Mobile Communications and Networks Series Editor for IEEE Communications Magazine.

Prof. Helen Karatza

Helen Karatza (Senior member, IEEE, ACM, SCS) is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Informatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Dr. Karatza’s research interests include Cloud and Fog Computing, Energy Efficiency, Resource Allocation and Scheduling and Real-time Distributed Systems.
Dr. Karatza has authored or co-authored over 230 technical papers and book chapters including five papers that earned best paper awards at international conferences. She served as an elected member of the Board of Directors at Large of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International. She served as Chair and Keynote Speaker in International Conferences.
Dr. Karatza is the Editor-in-Chief of the Elsevier Journal “Simulation Modeling Practice and Theory”. She was Editor-in-Chief of “Simulation Transactions of The Society for Modeling and Simulation International”, Associate Editor of “ACM Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation” and Senior Associate Editor of the “Journal of Systems and Software” of Elsevier. She is currently an Editorial Board member of “Future Generation Computer Systems”, Elsevier. She served as Guest Editor of Special Issues in International Journals. Prof. Vincenzo Piuri has received his Ph.D. in computer engineering at Polytechnic of Milan, Italy (1989). He is Full Professor in computer engineering at the University of Milan, Italy (since 2000). He has been Associate Professor at Polytechnic of Milan, Italy and Visiting Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and visiting researcher at George Mason University, USA.
His main research interests are: artificial intelligence, computational intelligence, intelligent systems, machine learning, pattern analysis and recognition, signal and image processing, biometrics, intelligent measurement systems, industrial applications, digital processing architectures, fault tolerance, cloud computing infrastructures, and internet-of-things. Original results have been published in 400+ papers in international journals, proceedings of international conferences, books, and book chapters.
He is Fellow of the IEEE, Distinguished Scientist of ACM, and Senior Member of INNS. He is President of the IEEE Systems Council (2020-21) and IEEE Region 8 Director-elect (2021-22), and has been IEEE Vice President for Technical Activities (2015), IEEE Director, President of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, Vice President for Education of the IEEE Biometrics Council, Vice President for Publications of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society and the IEEE Systems Council, and Vice President for Membership of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.

Dusit Niyato (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree from the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada, in 2008. He is currently a Professor with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests include energy harvesting for wireless communication, the Internet of Things (IoT), and sensor netors.
